Instruments Inside Tornadoes?

On Discovery's just-ended season of "Storm Chasers" there was a lot of sound and furry about putting weather instruments both inside tornadoes and launched into tornadoes. Weather researcher Chuck Doswell says it is not worth the risk and that it won't save lives. His perspective here.
