Update on Northeast Storm, 6am CST, Wednesday

As expected, NYC is right on the edge of the heavy snow. The dark blue streak from western Long Island curving through western CT and western MA then into southern VT and southern NH represents snowfall rates of 2-3" per hour. The Islip, NY airport on Long Island has been completely closed. The purple area over Rhode Island is sleet and freezing rain. It will change to snow.
