We Interrupt Our Regular Blogging

Judging from my email and Twitter comments, just about everyone is concerned about the hurricane.

So, I'm going to focus on hurricane-related blogging the next few days.

The postings pertaining to the hurricane from 6pm yesterday to present are all still valid. Plus, you can always get up-to-the-minute information at AccuWeather.

I'll have another extensive posting this evening. Right now, the previous forecasts -- unfortunately -- are still on track.

"For the Safety of Everyone Involved, Cary Cancels Saturday's Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival

"CARY, NC – After consulting with local, state, and federal forecasters and emergency management officials, the Town of Cary has cancelled Saturday’s Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival because of the significant potential for unsafe conditions due to high winds from Hurricane Irene. "
