There is a small risk of tornadoes in Mississippi and Alabama today in the brown-tinted areas.
This brings to mind a concern: That far too many schools and public buildings do not have their shelter locations marked. We living in a mobile society and we can't depend on people somehow knowing where to go.

Let me guess. Kansas City International airport? Only other place I've seen shelter signage is at a few service areas along the Kansas Turnpike.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, years ago those yellow and black nuclear fallout shelter signs were everywhere -I even remember seeing them in private residences! For some reason, I felt more "secure" back in the day of the old, local civil defense director than in today's age of the Department of Homeland Security, where multi-billions dollars are going into - what?
