Today, the tornado threat switches to the central U.S. where it will remain until Monday.

Today
Tornado threat map from NWS. Values of 5% or more are worthy of attention.
Hail threat map. Hatched area is a forecast of hailstones 2" in diameter or greater

Friday
This is a combined threat map where 15% is significant and the hatched area is where violent tornadoes and hail 2" in diameter or larger is forecast to fall.

Saturday
Combined probability map. This includes Kansas City, Omaha, Des Moines, Wichita, Oklahoma City and Tulsa in the threat area for violent tornadoes and very large hail.

Sunday
Graphically, this seems underwhelming but it is a forecast of ≥30% probabilities of tornadoes/high winds/large hail.

Finally, here is the 5-day Rainfall Amount Forecast
The rainfall forecast may be a bit underdone in places.

Needless to say, if you live in these areas we recommend you monitor the weather when thunderstorms approach.
