U.S. Geography 101...
About once a year for various reasons I fly into Kansas City's airport rather than Wichita's. It is always dismaying to hear the flight attendant, as we pull off the runway onto the taxiway, "Welcome to Kansas." Ahh, wrong. Kansas City International Airport is in MISSOURI. See below (click to enlarge). That blue thing is the Missouri River. East of the Missouri River, you are in MISSOURI!
With the baseball's All-Star Game in KC MISSOURI tonight, it is amusing to read the tweets from the people at the Home Run Derby last night who thought they were in Kansas.
