According to the Department of Energy this morning, 1.3 million "customers"(a "customer" is defined as an electric meter) are still without power.

The utility industry multiplies customers times 3 or 4 (depending on the utility) to get the approximate number of
people without power. So, we still have about four million without power as another storm looms.
