Merry Christmas!

Mindy and I wish to extend to you and yours our wishes for a Merry Christmas and a wonderful, healthy and prosperous 2013.

I would like to take a moment to recognize meteorologists in general, and my colleagues at AccuWeather in particular, who are working on this and every holiday to provide the vital weather information to keep you and your family safe if you travel, especially given the snow and tornado threats.

From my friend, Greg Forbes, from earlier today:
Please go to your local meteorologist's Facebook page and thank them for working Christmas and for what they do. Better still, leave a message for the TV station's general manager.

There is no better Christmas message than the one delivered by the first human beings to visit the moon on Apollo 8. The passage from the Book of Genesis was read by the crew, Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot James Lovell, and Lunar Module Pilot William Anders.
