#1 Book About Joplin Tornado
According to The Turner Report, When the Sirens Were Silent is again the #1 book about the Joplin tornado. With the 2013 tornado season starting in the next few weeks, now would be a good time to learn what went wrong and why so many needlessly perished in Joplin. Sirens also includes three perforated heavy paper pages in back on which the latest tornado safety rules for home, school and office are printed.
As I discussed on the blog two days ago, we are going to let Sirens go out of print when the current supply is exhausted even though it has been a fine seller. Amazon can't seem to keep them in stock (it keeps ordering only 1 or 2 copies at a time, so we have to go to the trouble of filling several orders per week) and it will remain available in Kindle or Nook at the very reasonable price of $2.99.
While we have them, if you wish to purchase an autographed copy, please send a check for $17.00 which includes shipping and sales tax to Mike Smith Enterprises, LLC, 4031 N. Tara Circle, Wichita, Kansas 67226. Please let us know how you would like the inscription to read.
