Next Week: Very Active Weather

Today looks relatively calm across the U.S. With the exception of a freezing rain advisory (purple) and some light snow around the western Great Lakes. Otherwise, nothing major is occurring.

The changes tomorrow.

Sunday
Large hail and perhaps a tornado or two in this area.

Monday
In the hatched area, hail larger than two inches in diameter and major tornadoes are possible. Note: This is the storm that could cause a real challenge to television meteorologists in Wichita if the Shockers make the championship game which is played Monday evening.

Tuesday and Wednesday

The red area is the forecast for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms Tuesday and purple is for Wednesday.

Snow

This is the probability of an inch or more of snow Monday and Monday night. More snow will fall after Monday night.
