Winter Storm Continues

You can see the ice accumulated in the grass and icicles in the tree in the background. There are numerous accidents over south central Kansas. In Wichita, the emergency accident reporting plan is in effect.

Deep purple is an ice storm warning. Pink is a winter storm warning. Blue is a winter weather advisory. Dark blue is a freeze warning. The greens are various flood warnings and watches.

Here is the AccuWeather Regional Radar:

More than twenty inches of snow have fallen in parts of South Dakota making it the worst winter storm in the history of the state. Roads are closed in many areas of that state.

O'Hare airport already has delays of more than two hours.
