Increasing Concern About Corn Belt Flooding

Below I talk about the potential for tornadoes and hail today and tomorrow. I also believe -- strongly -- there will be more tornadoes in the Central U.S. later in the week.

However, there is another hazard about which I'm increasingly concerned: Flooding. I agree with this outlook of this week's rainfall from the NWS.

West of a line from about Sioux Falls - Lincoln - Wichita - Oklahoma City - Dallas the rain is welcome. However, the drought has largely ended east of the Missouri River and this rain, if the forecast is correct, will cause moderate to serious flooding.
