Andrea Update at 7:45am Thursday

The storm strengthened with sustained winds of 60 mph with gusts to 70 mph. Here is the latest position. The storm is moving northeast.

A tornado watch is out for much of the Florida Peninsula. It will likely be extended.

And, as the storm moves up the coast, heavy rains will cause flooding. Note the forecast of more than four inches of rain around New York City. The only good news is that Andrea will wipe out the incipient drought in parts of the Middle Atlantic and Appalachians areas.
